WALSALL Wood joined Whitchurch Alport in the fourth round of the FA Vase after overcoming visitors Anstey Nomads on penalties.
The game finished 1-1 in 90 minutes, Kaden May putting Wood ahead ten minutes from time before the visitors equalised from the penalty spot late on/Wood won the subsequent shoot out 4-3 and now travel to Wroxham in the next round.
Alport themselves won in the league 4-1 at Bewdley Town, Jud Ellis getting two goals.
Worcester City beat Lichfield City 2-1 in front of 556 at Claines Lane with goals from Billy Shaw and James Douglas
Leaders Hanley Town beat Racing Club Warwick 4-0 with goals from Louis Dodds, Danny Pugh, Chris Dagnall and Reece Jones.
Romulus got a good 2-1 win over Shifnal Town to lift themselves into sixth place in the table.
They are one place below Tividale who stayed in touch with the leaders after a 1-0 win over Stone Old Alleynians, Curtis Cocking on target for the second successive week.
In division one, the top versus second clash at Atherstone was postponed but Dudley Town closed the gap with games in hand after a 2-1 win over Khalsa Football Federation, Callam Baker getting a goal in each half for the Robins
