WOLVERHAMPTON Casuals got their first win of the season in the premier division tonight (Tuesday) with a 2-1 win over visitors Romulus.
Casuals were 2-0 up at half time against the previously unbeaten Roms through Orlando Joao and Reis Marley. They held out for the win, Romulus only replying late on through Chad Degville-Cross. AFC Wulfrunians also got their first win of the season, with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Haughmond in front of a good crowd at the CKW Stadium. James Hill gave them a one goal lead just before the break and Dominic Dell increased the lead from the penalty spot on 73 minutes. Substitute Tom Harley got the third goal a minute from time. AFC WULFRUNIANS will attempt to move into the premier division top ten tonight when they host Haughmond at the CKW Stadium.
Wufrunians have started the season well, although they haven't won they got a good point at Hanley Town on Saturday, Haughmond have lost their first three games so will be keen to get some points on the board. Meanwhile Wolverhampton Casuals will also be looking for their first points when they take on Romulus at Brinsford Lane tonight. The Roms in contrast have won their first two games, conceding no goals and thrashing Uttoxeter 6-0 at the weekend. Both games kick off at 7.45 tonight. |
