This Saturday marks national Non-League Day and there is plenty of action in the Midland Football League to ensure everyone gets their football fix.

In the MFL Premier Division, league leaders Walsall Wood are in action when they travel to Atherstone Town, whilst Darlaston Town (1874) will be looking to close the gap on the leaders when they travel to Stone Old Alleynians. At the bottom, two of the bottom four meet as Market Drayton, buoyed by their victory against Uttoxeter Town welcome Wolverhampton Casuals to the Greenfields Sports Ground, whilst Worcester City host Studley and Uttoxeter Town are at home to Lichfield City.

In Division 1, with league leaders Dudley Town not in action it gives an opportunity for the chasing pack to close the gap. Ashby Ivanhoe in second travel to Nuneaton Griff, whilst two promotion contenders meet at The Sports Ground, Lye, when OJM Black Country welcome Hinckley AFC. Droitwich, in fifth, host Wednesfield, whilst Bilston Town in sixth travel to bottom-of-the-table Haughmond. The battle to avoid the drop in Division 1 is intense and there's a real six pointer at The Beeches where Smethwick Rangers welcome Cradley Town. Fellow strugglers AFC Bridgnorth host mid-table Coton Green and Heath Hayes entertain Shawbury United.

The promotion race in Division 2 is really warming up and Sutton United will be looking to extend their lead at the summit when they travel to Kenilworth Sporting. Closing in on the top spot are Cadbury Athletic and Knowle. Cadbury host Fairfield Villa on Saturday whilst Knowle welcome a Birmingham United side to the Robins Nest who themselves will be looking to pull away from the relegation positions. Basement side Boldmere Sports and Social Falcons travel to Inkberrow looking for only their second league win of the season.

The title picture in Division 3 continues to be one of the most keenly contest for many seasons and AFC Solihull will be looking to extend their advantage when they host Solihull Sporting on Saturday. Looking to close the gap on the leaders are Balsall & Berkswell and they welcome a Central Ajax side who have only lost twice in league competition all season. Third place Coventrians who have four games in hand on the league leaders travel to AFC Birmingham. At the bottom Birmingham Tigers and Sutton Rangers are battling to avoid the wooden spoon. The Tigers welcome Leamington Hibernian, whilst Sutton Rangers host a Wake Green Amateur side who will still hold promotion aspirations.

With Walsall Wood's MFL Premier Division clash away at Wolverhampton Casuals being postponed on Saturday, it gave those in the chasing pack the chance to take advantage and close the gap on the league leaders. Darlaston Town (1874) took full advantage to move into second place with a 2-0 victory against Studley, whilst Racing Club Warwick are third after securing a 4-1 victory at home to Worcester City. Lye Town slip to fourth after losing 3-1 at fifth place Stourport Swifts and Shifnal Town are in sixth after losing 2-1 at a Romulus side who will still believe they have a chance of securing the promotion play-off place.

At the bottom, Market Drayton Town picked up their first home league win of the season by beating fellow strugglers, Uttoxeter Town 2-1. Tividale pulled away from the relegation trap door thanks to a 2-0 home victory against Lichfield City.

Elsewhere, Atherstone Town secured a 3-1 home victory against AFC Wulfrunians, Bewdley lost 3-1 at home to Whitchurch Alport and Highgate United were beaten 1-0 at home to Stone Old Alleynians.

In the Midland Football League 1st Division, Dudley Town extended their lead at the top of the table to 16 points with an entertaining 6-3 victory against AFC Bridgnorth. OJM Black Country maintained their promotion chase with a 3-1 home win against inform Ingles, whilst Hinckley were also 3-1 victors, this time against Heath Hayes. Droitwich Spa continued their push for a play-off place with a 5-0 drubbing of bottom-of-the-table Haughmond.

At the bottom, Cradley Town secured a massive three points in their bid for survival with a 1-0 win against Coventry Copsewood. Paget Rangers' long wait for a win continued as the Bears squandered a two-nil lead at Coles Lane to draw 2-2 against Wolverhampton Sporting Community. 

Elsewhere, Shawbury Town were 3-1 victors at Chelmsley Town and the mid-table clash between Nuneaton Griff and Wednesfield ended 1-1.
