PRESS OFFICER

The Midland Football League has an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as our Press Officer. 

The role would suit someone with previous experience in media and communications or a recently graduated university student who is looking to break into the field of sports media.

An interest, enthusiasm and passion for Midlands non-league football is also highly desirable for this hands-on role, that will put you at the heart of a diverse and ambitious football league, which was formed by the merger of the Midland Football Alliance and Midland Combination as recently as 2014. .

The role's main responsibilities include;

• Collating results on matchdays for all divisions and sending to multiple press contacts 
• Be the main point of contact for all press queries.
• Occasional TV/Radio interviews, dependant on requirement.
• Answer general queries, referring contacts to the correct person.
• Point of contact for member clubs who do not currently have a Press Officer.
• Produce a  weekly newsletter, distributed to clubs, league officials and key press contacts.
• Represent the League at selected games in FA competitions.
• Manage the content of all League media outlets.
