Neil Lyne adds 3 new faces to bolster squad
Neil Lyne has moved to freshen up his squad before Christmas. First in this week was Danny Jenno (picture), an accomplished defender who at 26 is a veteran of over 400 league games at step 3 and 4 during spells at Loughborough Dynamo, Coalville, Barwell and Coalville again. Danny has tasted promotion with Loughborough Dynamo and Coalville as well as winning player of the season awards at Coalville and Barwell. Jenno was an ever present last season at Coalville during their first season at step 3 and although a summer target for Neil Lyne he chose to stay at step 3 with Coalville for this season until the Leicester Road door opened again this week. Next in was Jak Jeyes, a busy striker with an eye for goals who got promoted with Bedworth United last season and started this season with them in their first season back at step 3. After a brief stop over at Racing Club Warwick Jak has now joined Neil Lyne and the group as we continue to push on this season. Last night 19 year old Michael Tweed signed on a month’s loan from Nuneaton Borough. Tweed is an exciting central midfielder who has recently returned from a 6-week trial at Fleetwood Town and is looking to kick-start his season as it looks like there maybe only limited opportunities for game time at step 2 with Nuneaton. Tweed could be viewed as a graceful exchange for Joseph Lyne and Nathaniel Kelly who went in the other direction a couple of weeks ago but Lyne senior was very quick to point out that, "when a team loses key players it is just as important to replace them with as good or even better as soon as possible and then just move on to preparing for the next game with what you have got". Welcome to Leicester Road Football Club Danny, Jak and Michael. |
