THE top two teams in the Midland Football League Premier both won on Tuesday night, with Walsall Wood still ten points clear of AFC Wulfrunians.
Walsall Wood beat Studley 4-0 with goals from Jai Verma early on and Kevin Hemagou, Kaden May and Daniel Gyasi in the second half. Wulfs edged out Wolverhampton Casuals 1-0 with a goal from Jay Holdcroft in the first minute. A thriller at Ribbesford Meadows saw visitors Lye Town beat Bewdley Town 4-3. Joe Palmer got two for Lye with Ben Billingham and Josh Hesson also on target - Bewdley's goals came from Alex Quaynor, Nathan Oyemade and a Dylan Hart penalty. Stourport Swifts got a valuable 3-1 win away at Highgate United with goals from Ben Tilbury, Jamie Lucas and Jim Hanson, Ryan Harkin getting a consolation for Highgate. Wednesday's action in the premier sees Darlaston Town (1874) CIC at home to Shifnal Town and in division one, Ingles are at home to Wednesfield.
