AFC WULFRUNIANS went second in the premier division after a 1-1 draw at Walsall Wood on Tuesday night.
They took the lead on 13 minutes through Dominic Dell but were pegged back with seven remaining when Ben Harvey netted the equaliser for Wood. Lichfield City can regain second spot when they take on Whitchurch Alport tonight (Wednesday) at The City Ground. Tuesday's other games in the premier saw Uttoxeter Town surprisingly win 2-0 at Lye with goals in either half from Paul Hughes and Ethan Bloor-Jones. Fellow Staffordshire outfit Stone Old Alleynians beat Racing Club Warwickk 1-0 with a Sam Wilson goal 15 minutes from time and Tividale won 2-1 at Bewdley Town with efforts from Daragh Bustin and Elliott Hartley, Elliott Sumnall getting a consolation for the home side. Dudley Town went within four points of second placed Stapenhill in division one with a 1-1 draw at Wednesfield, Matt Gardner getting their equaliser after the home side had taken the lead. Darlaston Town can go above them on goal difference if they beat Paget Rangers at The Paycare Stadium (7.45pm).
