HIGHGATE United moved up to second position in the Midland Football League Premier - for 24 hours at least.
In a Monday night game, they beat Romulus 3-1 away, with Ryan Harkin on target again along with Aaron Brown and Connor Mooney. Mikkel Hurst got a consolation a minute from time for Romulus. In the first division, Hinckley FC beat Haughmond 3-2 in front of a crowd of 160. Harry Walker-Donovan, a Lewis Collins penalty and a winner from Chandler Pegg accounted for Hinckley's goals, Scott Ryan getting both for Haughmond. Tuesday's action will see whoever wins between Stourport Swifts and AFC Wulfrunians take second place in the premier division as the two clash at Walshes Meadow. In division one, the solitary league game sees Dudley Town attempt to extend their lead at the top of the table as they travel to Heath Hayes.
