Romulus and Atherstone were the headliners on Saturday after comfortably beating higher opposition in the FA Cup.
The Roms beat Sutton Coldfield Town in the last round and struck again to win 3-0 against Halesowen Town with first half goals from Owen Watkins from the spot, captain Cameron Lee and Trea Bertie. Atherstone Town also starred, stunning Leek Town away by winning 5-1 with two goals from Mitch Piggon, and one each from Josh Beeon, Ryan Quinn and Chris Cowley. Lye Town and Kidsgrove Athletic will have to try again after a 1-1 draw, Joe Palmer giving the home side the lead in the first 20 minutes in a game played at Halesowen Town. Kidsgrove soon equalised and the game remained even, though Lye missed a 93rd minute penalty Wolverhampton Casuals and Stone Old Alleynians played out an all MFL six goal thriller with the game finishing 3-3. Only an Adam Garmson goal in the 95th minute saved it for Casuals to add to his earlier strike and one from Josh Hesson. Stone's goals came from Sam Bowater, Jack Bowater and Matt Thomas. The replay will be at Stone on Tuesday night. Evergreen Lee Chilton sent Stourprort Swifts through with the only goal of the game at home to Racing Club Warwick. In league action, AFC Wulfrunians continued their good start to the season in the premier with a 1-0 win over Bewdley courtesy of a Jack Downing goal on three minutes. Darlaston Town 1874 CIC beat Worcester City 2-0 with a penalty from Dominic Dell on 27 minutes and a Lewis Gill goal in injury time.
