BOLDMERE ST Michaels went second in the Midland Football League Premier with a 3-2 win over Lichfeld City at Church Road. Harry Sweeney got two goals including the winner and Robbie Thompson-Brown the other, Dan Lomas getting a brace for Lichfield. Hanley Town are still six points clear with a game in hand after winning at Uttoxeter Town on Friday night with a second haf goal from Louis Dodds Worcester City and Tividale fought out an entertaining 0-0 draw but Romulus got a 3-1 win over high flying Lye, with Rylan John, Rikardo Reid and Trea Bertie on target, a Dylan Hart penalty for Lye was their only reward. Shifnal closed the gap on Worcester to two points with a game in hand after thrashing Bewdley Town 5-0. Matthew Barnes-Homer and Callum Graybrook both got two and a Jordan Graham own goal completed the scoring. Stone Old Alleynians edged out Haughmond 2-1 with goals from Sam Bowater and Jack Tomlinson, Joe Pratt replying for Haughmond. Drew Canavan's goal settled the issue at Racing Club Warwick where Stourport Swifts won 1-0. In a game dedicated to the memory of Leon Taylor, Walsall Wood thrashed Wolverhampton Casuals 4-0, Ryan Boothe getting a hat-trick and Jai Verma the other goal Dudley Town had a greight afternoon in division one, thrashing Bridgnorth Town 8-0 with two goals apiece from Dan Jones and Ashley Smith whilst Stapenhill slipped up 2-1 at home to Heath Hayes, allowing Atherstone to go seven points clear at the top as they won at Cradley Town.
