BACK TO LEAGUE ACTION

After a week of cup action, focus returns to the league with nine fixtures taking place in the Midland Football League Premier Division this weekend. There is a dress rehearsal of an FA Vase 3rd Round fixture as league-leaders Walsall Wood travel to The Coppice to take on third-place Highgate United. Second-place Stourport Swifts travel to Studley, whilst Market Drayton Town, who currently sit bottom of the Premier Division, travel to a Lichfield City side who scored five at Highgate United in their Moldwel Products League Cup fixture on Tuesday night.

Saturday's Midland Football League Premier Division Fixtures (kick-offs 3pm unless stated):

AFC Wulfrunians vs Whitchurch Alport
Bewdley Town vs Racing Club Warwick
Darlaston Town (1874) vs Uttoxeter Town
Highgate United vs Walsall Wood
Lichfield City vs Market Drayton Town 
Romulus vs Lye Town
Shifnal Town vs Tividale
Studley vs Stourport Swifts
Wolverhampton Casuals vs Worcester City

Following last week's abandonment due to floodlight issues at the Pointons Community Stadium, it will be second time lucky for Premier Division rivals Atherstone Town and Stone Old Alleynians as they meet in the 2nd Round of the FA Vase. The victors know that they will host Stourport Swifts in the 3rd Round.

In Division 1 there's a full programme of fixtures. League leaders Dudley Town will be looking to maintain their advantage at the top of the table when they take on Paget Rangers who have suffered five successive league defeats. When the two sides met at Coles Lane back in October, the points were shared in a 1-1 draw. There's sure to be a cracker at Queen Street where Bilston Town welcome Hinckley AFC, whilst OJM Black Country, who have won seven league matches in a row, welcome Coton Green.

Wolverhampton Sporting Community vs Haughmond

In Divisions 2 & 3 fixtures are split between regular league duty and the Birmingham Saturday Vase cup competition. With Sutton United on cup duty, Cadbury Athletic will be looking to take full advantage knowing that a victory against Earlswood Town will see The Chocolate Men move to the top of the Division 2 table. Elsewhere, bottom of the table Boldmere Sports & Social Falcons travel to Fairfield Villa, Lane Head host Redditch Borough and Barnt Green Spartak entertain Inkberrow. In Division 3 there are three league fixtures scheduled. Continental Star welcome Birmingham Tigers to The Hub and Coventry Dunlop are at home to Leamington Hibernian. There's a local derby at Kingshurst Tudor Grange Academy as Solihull Sporting entertain Castle Vale Town.
