Darlaston Town (1874) have confirmed four more players have committed to the club ahead of their Division One opener on Saturday.
Central defender Liam Smith signed for the club from Team Dudley at the start of the 2019/20 season and would have played many more than 33 games for Darlaston had football not been curtailed. Midfielder Harvey Dangerfield has signed on his return from university in Liverpool where he played for Bootle Reserves in the West Cheshire League. He previously played for Wednesfield as a youth team player. Liam Matthews came from Bilston with the current management team and is a hard tackling midfelder. He has featured in all the games played since Dean Gill took over as manager Forward Brad Shinton has scored two goals in two pre-season games and is another player who has turned out for Wednesfield's youth team previously. At 20, he is seen as having a bright future in the game. Darlaston's opening game is on Saturday at home to Chelmsley Town.
