WEEKEND PICTURE FEATURE Whitchurch Alport 2 AFC Wulfunians 0 Words: Martin Wild Pictures: Joe Sheridan A goal in each half was enough to give Alport all three points in a game they dominated from start to finish. Captain Sean Griffiths doubled his tally for the season with a fine opening goal and Ivan Urvantev made it two with a goal of the season contender after the interval. Alport started on the front foot and it came as no surprise when Griffiths got on the end of a superb cross from namesake Jack to volley home on 11 minutes. A second goal almost arrived when Jack Berman sent in a great ball for top scorer Alex Hughes to meet but goalkeeper Tom Hayward saved. The Wulfrunians stopper though was helpless to stop Alport from increasing their lead when Urvantev let fly from 30 yards and the shot dipped into the far corner. It was almost three in added on time but Jud Ellis' shot from wide on the left cannoned back off an upright Pictures: (Top to Bottom): Jacob Fairleigh, Ivan Urvantev and Jack Bernam all on the attack..
