Tom Sheridan is stepping down as vice chair due to work commitments and current chairman for the juniors Rob Dutton is taking his place. A statement on Alort's club website said: "We wish Tom all the very best with his new employment, we know we will still benefit from his continued involvement with the club as a well respected volunteer." On his replacement, the statement read: "Rob has been instrumental in gaining the approval for the Shropshire FA’s ‘Investment Ready’ for both sections of the club. Wood were due to travel to Norfolk tomorrow (Saturday) to take on Wroxham of the Eastern Counties League in the fourth round but were informed by the FA yesterday they have been removed for allegedly playing a suspended player. The decision is subject to appeal, and the club have cofirmed they are taking legal advice as they were told the player concerned was only suspended from county FA football, not national competitions. They say they will not make any further comment until the next step is decided. WEDNESFIELD FC have announced a trio of signings as they look to make a charge into the top six of the first division. Zac Brown, Shaquille Lee and Ben Perks have all joined the Cottagers. Brown, a forward, has joined from Khalsa Football Federation and Lee re-joins the club from AFC Bentley having captained Wednesfield in the 2017-18 season. Defender Ben Perks captained Shifnal Town to three trophies last season and also has step six experience at Wolverhampton Sporting Community.
