STAPENHILL have moved to appoint Mark Wilson as their new manager to replace Scott Wilson who left to join Heather St Johns. Wilson (pictured) has formerly managed Borrowash Victoria, Rocester in the MFL, South Normanton and Holbrook Sports. He will be assisted by former Gresley FC coach and manager Wayne Thornhill.
PAGET Rangers and the non league community as a whole is mourning legendary football figure Eddie Caulfield who has died. Eddie guided Paget Rangers to promotion to the Southern League twice and won the inaugural Midland Football Alliance championship with the Bears in 1994-95. Whilst he was boss, the club also lifted the Midland Combination League Cup, West Midlands Regional League Cup and the Lord Mayor of Birmingham's Charity Cup. Eddie also enjoyed managerial spells at Redditch United, Sutton Coldfield Town and Dudley Town but it will be his time at Paget for which he will be best remembered. Paget chairman Matthew Dainty said: "Everyone at the club is heartbroken to learn of the passing of Eddie. "As a child I grew up watching his super successful Paget sides of the 1990s. "He was a great leader, a mentor to all who played under him and a superb football manager who took Paget to their highest ever league position."
