HANLEY Town went 18 points clear in the premier division after beating Whitchurch Alport 2-0 with goals from Charlie Walford and Reece Jones. Of the chasing pack. Boldmere St Michaels won 3-0 at Bewdley Town with Alex McSkeane getting two more goals and Steve Palmer the other. Lichfield City lost 2-1 at home to Shifnal Town, Dan Lomas getting the home side's consolation after Matthew Barnes-Homer and Ashley Brown had fired the visitors into a two goal lead. Lye Town and Stourport Swifts shared two goals, Alex Cameron scoring for Lye with Swifts' goal an own goal. A Dean Morris strike gave Romulus a 1-0 win at Racing Club Warwick. In division one, goals from Oli Roome and George Teeney gave Stapenhill a 2-0 win over Nuneaton Griff. Four goals in the last 15 minutes added to an earlier strike gave Darlaston Town 1874 a 5-0 win at Dudley Sports and extended their unbeaten run to 12 games (see picture below). MFL teams will be hoping to get back to action tomorrow after seven days ravaged by postponements due to the weather. Premier leaders Hanley Town are at home to FA Vase quarter finalists Whitchurch Alport and high flying Lichfield City host Shifnal Town. Lye Town are also at home, to Stourport Swifts and Highgate United host Worcester City. In division one, Wednesfield - who reached the final of the Birmingham Midweek Floodlit Cup in the week - host Chelmsley Town whilst Dudley Town, who they beat in the semi final travel to Coventry Copsewood.
